History

First Baptist Church, Arlington, Texas has been taking mission trips to the border lands area of Mexico near Laredo for many years.  This mission began by taking a trip to Laredo every Summer in support of ongoing mission efforts in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.  Since 2002, we have added a Fall and Spring Medical Mission trip.  Beginning with 2006, the emphasis has spread to mission points deeper within Mexico, beginning with Acuna.

Overview

This impoverished area is home to hundreds of thousands of unchurched people, most of whom do not know Christ.  Because of recent trade agreements and I-35 that runs through Laredo, the twin border cities on both sides of the Rio Grande have become some of the fastest growing cities in Texas and Mexico.  

We work to share the Gospel with the people of Mexico through back yard Bible studies, evangelism, and other ministries.  The medical teams support new mission churches by tangibly demonstrating God's love to the surrounding communities.
