Overview
The Jr. High Ministry of First Baptist Church, Arlington, TX sponsor's a mission trip every summer to give students mission expreience.
This is Missions 101--an introductory trip where students learn the basics of going to serve. Our youth are involved in manual labor, light construction, and various childrens ministry programs. The challenge for our students is learning to travel, live, and work together. They are forced to focus on the needs of others, rather than their own wants. The value of teamwork, sacrifice, and diligence is emphasized, and the theme for our trip is always "Here to serve, not to be served. "
The Trips alternate between San Antonio and Houston, and typically involve construction, childrens ministry, and evangelism.
